The person who wrote this article has played Dungeons and Dragon, practiced the occult, and studied various documents. This post will be written as if taking the "Should a Christian Play Dungeons and Dragons?" to heart, so to speak. It is this author's belief that the following should be taken with a bag of salt.
Dungeons and Dragons practices evil magic and should not be allowed to be played. The reasoning is that it promotes people to do evil deeds as well as mess with the minds of the players. The author admits himself to playing DnD as well as practising the occult.
The author of the article explains that he had lived near the headquarters where DnD was made and was personally asked by the creator if the way the spells are done was proper for Wican and other occult rituals. The basis of spells is from magic practiced by fanatics. This world of magic leads the players to believe in magic, and are so enveloped in these DnD worlds that they can lose their mind. They start to practice magical rituals and are badly influenced by characters (such as a rogue/thief that steals things).
One research that is often attached to defend DnD is that there is no evidence that suicide was committed solely due to the game. This claim is not backed up by any written evidence.
DnD should not be played, either by Christians or otherwise. It teaches bad habits, will confuse players, and could lead to occult worship.
